NOTICE TO THE MARKET

Banco do Estado de Sergipe S.A. – BANESE, a multiple bank, established as a government-controlled company, hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general of the nomination of Mr. Helom Oliveira da Silva, current Chief Financial, Control and Investor Relations Officer, to hold the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Said nomination was received through an official letter from Sergipe State Governor’s Cabinet.

Mr. Helom Oliveira da Silva has been serving at the Company for 14 years and held leadership positions in several areas of the Bank. He has been holding the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer since June 16, 2020, as disclosed in a Notice to Market at the time.

Thus, we will adopt the measures necessary for the installation of Mr. Helom Oliveira da Silva in the Company’s Presidency, which will be analyzed by the Board of Directors and other governing bodies of the Bank and subsequently submitted for approval by the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN).
