BANESE | Material Fact


MATERIAL FACT

 

Banco do Estado de Sergipe S.A. (“BANESE” or “Company”), in compliance with paragraph 4 of article 157 of Law 6,404 of December 15, 1976 (Brazilian Corporation Law) and the regulations of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (“CVM”), especially CVM Instruction 358 of January 3, 2002, hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that further to the Notice to the Market released on October 29, 2020, the period to declare interest and to ratify employees’ requests to join the voluntary severance plan (Retirement Incentive Plan – PEA) was concluded.

The PEA was executed by means of an amendment to the Collective Bargaining Agreement entered into with the union that represents the banking category, and includes a specific clause for the fully settlement of employment contracts.

Of the 300 places offered, 257 employees, all of whom qualified, joined the program.

The PEA will have an impact of approximately R$46 million for the payment of financial and social benefits and estimated savings of R$25 million in personnel expenses in 2021.
