NOTICE TO THE MARKET

RESIGNATION OF A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Banco do Estado de Sergipe S.A. (“BANESE” or “Company”) informs its shareholders and the market in general that Mr.  José Augusto Chaves Rezende, submitted a letter of resignation from the Board of Directors, in which he held the position of Chairman, effective immediately.

The position will remain vacant until a new Board member is nominated by the controlling shareholder, elected at a Shareholders’ Meeting to be called, and subsequently ratified by the Central Bank of Brazil.
